Kathy Cary closes La Pêche

After months of deliberation, Kathy Cary has made the decision to close her gourmet-to-go store, La Pêche, in the Holiday Manor shopping center. The store's last day was October 28th.

"I have pondered this decision for a long time," Kathy said. "The motivation behind the final decision is simple: I want to devote more time to our neighborhood bistro, Lilly's, which will celebrate its 20th anniversary in February. I also want to concentrate more on my catering operation, which will continue to be known as La Pêche Catering, fulfilling orders both large and small."

She added, "I want to thank everyone for their loyal support of La Pêche gourmet-to-go, throughout the 27 years we've fed our patrons!"

The first La Pêche opened at the current location of Lilly's, 1147 Bardstown Road, on October 13, 1979. It was one of the first gourmet-to-go stores in the Louisville area.
