Mamadou Ndiaye, Sous Chef, Lilly's

Originally from Dakar, Senegal, Chef Mamadou's dream has been to become a chef since his childhood, surrounded and inspired by the popular traditional delights cooked by his mother.

Chef Mamadou started his career in 1987 while working at the Teranga Restaurant, a French-Senegalese kitchen. He moved to Seattle, Washington in 1998 to join Executive Chef Adam Caraco at the New American Grill, Old Timers Retaurant. He was also Head Chef at Cafe Kilimanjaro and Vic Ivan Catering at the Presbyterian Center since 2002. He joined Lilly's in 2003.
